Never submerge the unit in water. Allow the unit to air dry or use a paper towel to dry it inside and out. Replace the lid inserts back into the lid to prevent leaks. Make sure you hear it snap in place. Mildew and bacteria will grow in your diffuser if you let water sit inside for days and weeks. Always leave it clean and dry when not in use.
