Today is Pime Day! (July 17, 2018)
The date of Amazon Prime Day is a closely held secret by Amazon, but will likely be around July 9th or July 11th this year, and could last up to 48 hours.
Prime Day is one of Amazon’s biggest sales days of the year, bigger even than Black Friday and Cyber Monday, however it’s only open to Prime members.
Prime Day at Amazon is now in its fourth year. Deals are offered for 30-48 hours on over 100,000 products. If you are not familiar with it, it is similar to Black Friday sales. Since the summer months have few big holidays like November and December, Amazon offers great deals to those who want to do holiday shopping early, or just to get a money saving product for themselves.
What Do I Need To Do To Get Ready?
Important Note: You must be a member of Amazon Prime to cash in on the best prices.
Prime Members usually pay a yearly price to be part of the program and get benefits like free 2-day shipping and access to Amazon video steaming and music storage.
If you wish to avoid the yearly fee and still take advantage of prime day, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial and cancel the membership before you are charged the fee.
Prime members get extras such as free online photo storage, video and music streaming, Kindle lending library, and more promotional bargains. You will find more daily deals as well on many of Amazon’s items.

The biggest benefit of Amazon Prime is the free two-day shipping that you are entitled to. If you are lucky, some items may even come with free same-day delivery. The prime subscription can also reduce the costs of one-day shipping and Saturday deliveries for other items.
Whether you are a regular or irregular Amazon user, the Prime subscription will allow you to save a lot of shipping costs. Prime also includes other things like Prime Video and Music, Prime Reading and many other great benefits.
As an essential oil user, it is advantageous to have a Prime account since oils need to be refilled after you run out. With Amazon Prime, regular potential shipping costs are greatly reduced and you can save on your essential oil refills!
Prime Day Last Year (2017)
Of course, the days of July 5 through 9 are now in the past. Depending on where you live the start times are 6:00 p.m. Pacific / 9:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday, July 10. If you have an Alexa-enabled device, despite this, can use Alexa voice shopping to access select deals starting at 4:00 p.m. Pacific / 7:00 p.m. Eastern. That method will give you 2-hours before Prime Day starts.
After the 6:00 p.m. Pacific start time, Prime Day continues for another 30 hours until closing time at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Tuesday, July 11. For the east coast that means the deals stop at 2:59 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
