I just started using a diffuser at night and my nasal passages have been getting very dried out and bleeding some. I stopped using the diffuser and it has cleared up. Why did that happen and how can I stop it from happening again? I love to diffuse to help me sleep.

You could be drying out from several things. It is winter and the furnace dries out the air in the house. My mouth is dry every morning and I do not mouth breathe! I’m assuming you’re using an ultrasonic diffuser where you use water for a vapor mist. You did not say what oil flavor you are using. You might be drying from the particular oil. I wish I could help you more. Try a large vaporizer when you sleep. It produces more water vapor. If it helps, then you know the diffuser is not delivering enough moisture. Diffusers are a small device for moisturizing the air in the winter. It is curious why your condition cleared up after you stopped using the diffuser. You did not say what brand diffuser you are using. Let me know how this turns out for you.
Sorry for not providing that information. I am using an aromapod from sparoom. Essential oils I have used are lavender, roman chamomile, vetiver, frankincense, sweet orange and clary sage. Not all at one time of course but in different blends.
