I’m very interested in the diffusers, but my concern is: do the diffusers put out enough moisture or mist to damage the furniture that they are setting on? This may sound like a meanial question, but I am concerned also about the damage to the wood furniture or am I completely misinterpreting how these work.

Hi Jan,

You ask a very good question regarding moisture and furniture. The ultrasonic diffusers use water and create more mist than nebulizers that do not use water. I use both diffuser types and with real wood furniture, I too, do not want them covered with mist. What I do is put a plate or glass pie dish underneath to keep water off the wood. I also have glass tops that I’m not concerned much with because they clean up with window cleaner. I would not put towels underneath because they collect the moisture and will put wetness on your furniture. I like the NOVA Verelily nebulizer for its thin straight mist.

Best regards,

Melissa
